final fabrication

researching the 3D printing process has opened my eyes to a new form of production.  when researching i found how the process itself is is relatively low priced. for me the high price was the shipping.  overall the processes was repetitively effective. my part has arrived and is what i expected other than it ended up being more brittle than i expected but i believe that 3D printing is an effective process.

maker faire reflection

I feel our show case at maker faire was successful.  we successfully ran a beta test for our game with fresh new eyes that where able to see things that we had yet to notice for our selfs.  with our survey we found what these fresh eyes thought worked and what they thought didn't work with our game.  when exploring maker faire i saw so many cool things that where very cool and inspiring.

Maker faire show case

For our maker faire showcase i believe that we should use the most number of computers possible to show off our game, the steps to get there and our entire design process.  at each computer the users will be able to play and experience our game. we should make sure to have headphones to allow for the full sound experience.  after the game play our uses should be able to fill out a google form to help us review our game to our best ability.

Maker faire job

I feel I would like to work with the sound engineering team. This is wear I am the most experienced and would benefit the team the best

7.1

The difference between size location demensions is size is how big and location is where it falls on a plane.

Chain demensions go from a start point to and end point and the next demensions start at the end of the previous one linking like a chain. While datum demensions share the start and have different end points
A writen demensions and drawn demensions are similar in there purpose but drawn demensions are easier to understand

SPACEX interview

today we interviewed Jessica Pauley from Spacex. She works for spacex as an engineer, working with many others to a design the best possible design for the future of space travel for mankind. They are working on a design to hopefully bring space travel back to the U.S. so that we can continue to explore without the restriction to using space crafts from other countries.  Eventually reaching a goal of a reusable craft so that we wont have to build a complete new craft for every launch and instead just refurbish current ones.

Madden 15

Madden 15 is a realistic NFL Football game where you get to play football with current NFL teams.  This game has many cool settings where you can choose things such as the team you want to play with and the uniforms you want to wear. You can also choose the stadium.  once you have chosen your team you are ready to go out on the field and call your plays.  Then you get to control the player of your choice or the one with the ball.  This game is really cool and has many of the same rules as the real NFL game.

Reverse engineering

THE REVERSE ENGINEERING OF AUTOMOBLOCKS

we have created our new solution to our potential energy vehicle by using some of the basic ideas within the automoblocks.  we explored many ways in which they could be improved and or what made them work so well.  one thing i would fix with these automoblocks is the way each design attaches with different shape instead of using one universal attaching system.  when obsering "the black box" you can see this is an importiant way to explore the construction of an unidentified structure.

Geometric Constraints

In our design we used triangles to build our structure.  We chose triangles because they are one of the strongest shapes and dispurse weight evenly and effectively.  The result of the triangles we created were mostly acute angles.  Our design followed "form follows function" because it was good to look at but it also would serve its purpose because it's distribution of weight over a large surface area.

cad

So far i have almost finished the first part to the project.  I have been running into problems making the star, I think i now understand how to make it with the construction lines.  the rest of the shapes where relatively easy to create for me. I still have questions and wonder about how to make some of the shapes.

Inventor assembly

In inventor my biggest issue has been with creating assembly this video was helpful in finding this out http://youtu.be/_kWaWTY5hFk

product improvement

For my product improvement I chose to improve the average backpack.  This was because they are great to use if you have binders or something but if you don't they should have an integrated organization system. I chose to add like a filing type system to the inside to fix this. and fix existing pen holders so that they fit more pen sizes. Other than that not much of the existing traditional backpack design will change

Cube puzzle wrap up

As we have began to wrap up our puzzle project we learned how making a middle of you projects important so that you could see any errors you may run into in your design.  My puzzle was great because of its difficulty (only one person could solve it) but i felt i could
change the design and make it more stable.

cube Quality controll

we have began to measure our cubes and find the average dimensions of the cubes we where given to work with.

cube project

so far in the cube project we have began to sketch out different cube possibilities of part shapes and sizes. Then I began my different cad  drawings of each design to the left.  Now i have to accomplish my assembly with the parts i created in inventor
